Pant of the season #1: red jeans

When it comes to trends, I tend to avoid those that are extremely obvious. But this spring, I am whole-heartedly embracing the red jean phenom. (See T Magazine’s post last week.)

I wrote about red in a previous post (and ran the pic above), but after buying the best-fitting pair of red jeans with gold zippers at Zara I’m hooked. And at $39, how could I deny myself? The Zara jeans are lightweight (more of a cotton pant), and I am so desperate to wear red jeans now, I bought a SECOND PAIR from J. Brand, in what I hope is a heavier denim. And I’ve planned my outfits.

Red jean outfit #3: Inspired by our friend Nikki Kule, who has been rocking red jeans for years, red with army green, in the form of a T-shirt or jacket. And metallic sandals.
