May is the perfect month to catch up on all the shows and exhibitions we want to see before our children get out of school for summer vacation. Plus New York is at its Spring finest, so we will also grab a few lunches (at our favorite outdoor cafes) over which we will chat about KiC and all the profiles we are planning (there are many!).
First off we are going to the opening of Richard duPont’s new show (Richard is married to our dear friend Lauren, a fellow Vogue alum) at the Carolina Nitsch Project Room located at 534 West 22nd Street. The works are sculptural and experimental and based on his study of Anthropometry.
Next on our list is L’Amour Fou, Picasso and Marie-Therese at Gagosian Gallery, 522 West 21rst Street. Picasso met the 18 year old Marie-Therese on the street and was instantly smitten with her. She soon after became his muse and lover.
We will absolutely go to Alexander McQueen: Savage Beauty at the Met. It is sure to be a breathtaking and somewhat heartbreaking exhibition.
