Jennifer and I both like this outfit on Miranda Kerr and the simple shopper is the clincher for me. I love the color and simplicity. Miranda’s and Gaia’s below are by Celine but there are many versions available right now. This bag is the perfect alternative to a Birkin as it is lightweight and practical (and did I mention far less expensive?). A great way to add a shot of color to a sleek day look.

I have that bag and it’s beautiful but not great for carrying heavy things like laptops/ipads/magazines as the leather is so soft it sags out of shape. For those things I use a Birkin-like Chanel bag that has more structure. But for weekends, it’s a great bag.
If you want a stylish tote bag that does well with heavier items (e.g., laptop), try the fall/winter camel
version by Martin Margiela. I love mine, and it’s virtually indestructable!
I have an old Fratelli Rossetti leather tote that I’ve been using a lot recently. It’s more structured than the Celine tote and not quite as beautiful but it fits in my bicycle basket perfectly!
