Bee chic

Beekeeping is a chic hobby. Louis Vuitton has three hives on the roof of its Paris headquarters and now Oscar de la Renta is moving offices to a space with terraces where he will keep bees. I applaud this as we need to save the bees and it proves that beekeeping is not just a rural pastime.

  • There was a honeybee blight when we were in Cleveland. Don’t know why but there isn’t one anymore. I bet you or Mr. de la Renta know the answer.
Speaking of Oscar, have you seen the Sorollo show he sponsored at the Spanish Institute?

  • Love this post, and love this blog! It was just sent to me by a friend this morning because I love bees and named my house “Bee Cottage” and just happened to have posted about it myself this morning. Talk about synchronicity. Www.francesschultz.com

  • Anyone interested in beekeeping should see the Queen of the Sun documentary about colony collapse disorder (CCD) it’s fascinating! The best honey I’ve had is from my local apiary Bee Haven in Locust Valley NY – divine! bzzzzzzzz
