Ooh La Lana

I’m not sure what it is about Lana Del Rey, I cannot put my finger on it. Her songs are okay.  Maybe it’s her look- it takes me back to my early casting days when we started the super models. Lana would have fit right in.

I cast this story shot by Peter Lindbergh for Vogue (a long time ago…)

I did this one with Peter too- a miracle they all showed up…

Maybe I see a little Stephanie Seymour (far right) in Lana and that is her appeal for me.

  • Wow, I’m in awe… The stories you must have! I always loved that French model on the far left of the 1st Lindbergh shot…. And yes, Lana and Seymour.

Thank you for your blog – I enjoy every post!

  • Ah… Lana can’t hold a candle to Stephanie.

  • You must have a lot of good memories and a list of fab friends 😉 I always thought that those days the models were royalties.. I remember saving my monthly allowance in college to buy a copy of Cosmopolitan or Vogue which were costly on a student budget.. just to admire them 🙂

  • She reminds me of a 60s bombshell, but reincarnated. I don’t like her blue jeans song, but the first one was excellent.
