Will this be an It bag?

Olivia Palermo

Olivia Palermo, out and about recently, carrying a Chloe Alice Springs bag (named for the photographer Alice Springs, aka June Newton, wife of Helmut Newton?). I have been looking for a new bag and ordered a Givenchy shopper in black. But I like the Alice, it reminds me of the Fendi Chameleon a bit. But would I carry it if it doesn’t go over my shoulder? Hmm.

I do love Olivia’s Vince sweater and leather leggings- a very chic run-around look.

  2. Like the sweater and leggings. The bag is too over sized for regular use for my taste. I like the color blocked style and it would be a nice occasional bag. I agree, it needs a shoulder strap though.

  3. Great blog! I actually feel the opposite way. I love the bag but I am not a fan of the outfit, especially the shoes. Maybe it is the way the photo was taken but I do not find the look to be attractive when put together. I would of preferred to see the sweater with another bottom. Olivia has looked better-I enjoy her style immensely.

  8. Love the bag….but if I go two tone, I love a rich brown with black.
    And I have found that I CAN live without a shoulder strap if I love the bag enough . I would also likely tie a beautiful scarf to the handle to set off the colors in the bag even more….

  9. Love the bag as a tote, or for travel, not sure if I could do it every day.
    I also love the sweater and leggings, but have been trying on leather and it’s tricky….I like her look because they’re not too tight, some make you look like your legs are sausages, and I am fit. Sigh.

  10. Just saw a man purchasing the bag yesterday at Nordstrom for his girlfriend! Too big for everyday, would be great for the gym or weekend bag…….

  11. I second all the readers who see this bag as a tote/travel bag…who wants to carry a suitcase around all day? Pretty, but I’d prefer it in a smaller scale as my handbag…
