Horsing around

These post-holiday days are bittersweet. I am happy I don’t need to shop anymore, but the build up to Christmas is fun and expectant and can be a tad sad when over. To curb the holiday blues, we head to the barn. We are actually there six days a week already, and there is nothing as cheering as a warm pony.

  • I am always relieved when Christmas is over, but also a bit sad to see the season ending. I have come to view this entire period between Christmas and New Years as an extension of the holiday and that helps. Also, in recent years I find myself viewing New years Day (not eve) as a holiday in its own right. The start of a new year is a wonderful thing!
