I would wear this today!

It’s no secret that I love a good duffle coat (duffel is the proper spelling) and this one from Derek Lam FW13 fits the bill nicely. One of the frustrations of watching the fall shows is that I want to wear many of the pieces right now! Sadly, I’ll have to wait until it’s in the store next September.

  • Something else I never tire of. Love it in camel!

  • I’ll be on the lookout for that one as well. It’s perfection.

  • The color is great and I’m willing to bet the fabric is too. The shape of an egg is not, however the shape I want to be. Give me the classic trench any day.

  • I think the shape is what makes it fashion.

  • The duffel silhouette is beautiful, and I always love a fresh take on a classic look. A gorgeous coat in a yummy fabric.

  • My parents purchased a Ralph Lauren collection duffle coat for me about ten years ago, when I was in college. At first I was hesitant- how many 18 year olds really want to wear that silhouette?- but over the pats few years it has become my favorite coat. Plus I love the fact that taking it off is like the great reveal, with slim clothes underneath.
