Layering Lesson

Dries Van Noten successfully fused masculinity and femininity by pairing skirts and ostrich feathers with flannel trousers. A modern and grown-up take on last season’s flirtation with grunge.

  • This is my most favourite show so far of all the shows. The usual mastery of textures, patterns, styling and silhouette, everything is simply stunning and especially inspirational this time.

  • That show was SOOOO good. (Shades of Helmut Lang there?) I only saw the pics on my ipad so God knows how good it was for those actually in the venue. Do you still go to shows?

  • I don’t go to many shows these days. I cast Helmut’s shows for years and miss him dearly.

  • I like the looks. I don’t really get what “grunge” is about as a style per se, but I do know that elements of are returning. Is it the androgynous aspect that is considered grunge? I think I was preoccupied with Sesame Street at the time grunge was a look and paid it no heed.

  • Always a favorite of mine, I am happy to see this come back! One of my constant looks plus a little glam.
    Thanks Preston

  • Would I be thrown out of the fashion world if I added just a hint of bling? Maybe just a great ring or bling shoes??
