Still Looking Good

A reader asked if I still love my Valentino Rockstud shoes. I do, and just when I think they may be passé, I see a pic of a chic girl in a pair and fall in love with them all over again.

  • Now I MUST get them!

  • Phew… I’m not alone! I have the black patent flats, the black noir flats, the red-on-red Rockstud heels, and the blue python Rockstud clutch, and thought maybe I got too into the style. But with each new iteration that comes up, I can comfortably say that I still love the hard-and-soft juxtaposition in the Rockstud style and for me, love the touch of funkiness that they bring to my wardrobe.

  • I’ve worn mine once, I don’t know, they are everywhere now and Valentino has lowered their stock by producing them in every colour under the sun.

  • I don’t own a pair, but I wish I did. Love the look, and I’m not a stud lover usually.

  • Are they comfy?
I have loved them from the first time I spot them, but have always been on the fence.

  • The chic lady is Garance Doré if I’m not mistaken and the bag is a Louboutin (the Farida).

  • I just bought a pair of navy ones…. These may very well become classics like Roger Vivier’s shoes.
