Snake is a neutral

Some women love leopard print, I love snake. My Proenza Schouler python print T has been getting a lot of wear, even though at first I was worried it was a tad ‘Housewives of…’. With snakeskin, a little goes a long way. A clutch, like the 3.1 Phillip Lim above, is plenty. The best part is that it goes with everything, adds texture to a look, and feels a bit exotic.

  • I have a snake print sweatshirt that’s been getting a lot of wear lately – and you’ve just reminded me that I have a ‘Housewives of…’ t-shirt somewhere too. Must find that.

  • I have a pair of snakeskin sandals by Jimmy Choo that I do love, but have a huge fear of snakes so would have a hard time having my hands on a bag.

  • this is a dangerous blog! I look forward to checking it every night after a long day and invariably find something to buy. Just bought the bag

Seriously, this is the best, most sophisticated fashion blog

  • Totally agree about your bag! I love most exotic patterns in accessories mainly because my clothes are very classic so I rely on them to add interest.

  • Me too! I turn my nose up at practically every kind of animal print, all too obvious, too *sassy*, too garish! All the while unbeknownst to myself I have been accumulating dresses, blouses, mac, sandals… in snake print. Subtle, sexy and definitely a neutral.
