Wouldn’t it be lovely if this Memorial Day weekend behaved properly? It’s supposedly the opening act of summer, yet rain and 60′ weather is forecast. As I think back, it’s often dreary and cold on this holiday, the main reason I don’t pack up the gang and head to the Vineyard. I have not-so-fond memories of foul weather gear worn at the beach and huddling around the fireplace, all of us in shorts and flip flops, dreaming of warmer days ahead.
Ah well, an extra day with my family is still great. Both girls are crazed with finals, so maybe the rain is not such a bad thing.
White jeans are a bit ubiquitous, but like the Breton striped tee, they are a summer wardrobe staple.
