Pretty in print

By Eric Guillemain for The Sunday Times Style

A few weeks ago I posted that I am wearing more feminine (fewer shapeless A-line) summer dresses, and this Bottega Veneta print is precisely what I’m loving right now. The longer hem is super chic too.

The complete story in Fashion Gone Rogue.

  • I never love the look of prints on me, but I adore this! I think a printed dress with a tan in the summer can look great!

  • French women have been wearing these prints for years! Last summer in Bordeaux viewed chic ladies everywhere, walking, biking, etc in charming, feminine knee length dresses. Wish someone would do at a better price point that Bottega. Where to find?

  • I saw a picture of Victoria Beckham in a similar length dress just yesterday. A sign of what’s more to come, I hope?

  • I think the trick to carrying a great print is in the shoes and makeup. You can’t really accessorize it too much, or you will start to look like a gypsy woman (in my opinion). Awesome shoes (like Jessica’s) will finish off the ladylike look and pull it together.
This dress is really great on Jessica Alba, the colors really accentuate her hair and makeup. I need to look into this!
