“You make my heart sing”

These Valentino pumps are the number one item on my must-buy, will-wear-forever list. I spied them in the pre fall 2013 collection lookbook and have been waiting for Net-a-Porter to get them in.

Evening wear is always a bit of a bugaboo for me. I’m not comfortable wearing the same dressy dress to numerous events where I invariably see the same people. Shoes are another story. Paired with a simple dress or tuxedo pants, these are perfect for repeat wearing.

I buy 1/2 size larger.

  • Love your blog, its the only one I follow, but this square low heel looks granny to me. I’ll admit that I’m not the most fashion forward but I need to see these in context to understand how they will work.
Keep inspiring, surprising and … Oh I think I just got it… Think Alexa Chung…non?… Now I’m with you x

  • Too funny! I just saw these this morning on Net-A-Porter before coming here. My first thought was ‘yum’! I hope you enjoy!

  • Such an intriguing shoe. Definitely intended to be kept and worn for years.

  • I love them, they are a comfortable height and have a sophisticated youthfulness. Shoes are my definite weakness as I totally agree with you about being able to wear them repeatedly rather than my dresses. I’ve invested in a couple of pairs with the same low square heels and some sort of strap either at the ankle or across the foot.

  • I bought these last season in the sparkly charcoal. Love them but admit this lace version is spectacular. The style is so comfortable for a dress shoe. I no longer wear heals over two inches so this is the perfect evening shoe in my book. Spot on, Preston! ( love your blog!)
