Stack the Deck in Elle

I know, I know– another post on booties. First wedges, then ladylike, and now, stacked heels. I cannot decide.

Two years ago I cut down a pair of Calvin Klein knee boots below. I love their black stacked heel that’s not crazy high. I’m going to wear them for a bit to see if they are the silhouette I am looking for.

  • I bought the perfect deep red pair last year, from Chloe. Now I’m just looking for the perfect black low-cut bootie- maybe Saint Laurent.

  • I have a pair of stacked heel, black leather knee-high boots from last year. They are beautiful, but I could never decide if I liked the look or not. I will definitely give them another try this fall after seeing this post!

Thanks for the inspiration, Preston. I love your blog.

  • I’m a great fan of the calf-high boots, but wasn’t excited about ankle boots until I got to London. They are everywhere, and I’m totally smitten. And I love the stacked heels. I suspect I will be tucking a pair or two in my bags before I leave.

  • Your altered Calvin Klein boots look very similar to the stacked heel styles out for fall. Smart move!
