Shorts and a sweater

This pic of Freja Beha wearing pieces from her collaboration with jeans brand Mother could not be more appropriate for the beginning of Labor Day weekend. Clinging to the last bits of summer, yet getting cooler– shorts with a sweater is my uniform as I run-around.

Labor Day is bittersweet. I try to enjoy the final moments of summer, but also get my girls ready for school. Did we go to the beach enough? Really relax? Yes and no. But it was a great summer regardless. And as my youngest reminds me every September 1rst, summer wouldn’t be special if it lasted all year.

  • Your youngest daughter is a philosopher!
The shorts and sweater (jumper) combination is great. I just wish I had the confidence to get my legs out when I’m not at the beach.

  • This is a bit too casual for me.

  • After the last two posts you seem very relaxed. I recognise that end of summer vibe when one feels so tanned, so healthy that even birks and cuttoffs feel hot and sexy.
Hold on to that summer feeling, casualness is a part of it. It will be gone too soon for another year…

  • I’m not an avid wearer of shorts, but I’m holding on to my maxi dresses as hard as I can!
