Opening Ceremony

Humberto Leon and Carol Lim, the brainchildren behind Opening Ceremony, staged their first O.C. runway show. I like what they did for Kenzo in Paris, but I really love what they showed yesterday under their own label. Very clever and wearable.

  • I love this collection, too, and I’m surprised because I usually think OC is a little too over the top. My general feeling about the NY collections so far is that there are a lot of casual (but sophisticated), wearable pieces being shown. I love this– I think some designers need to get on the same page with Isabel Marant (and make some $, too). Also– the OC collection is, for the most part, great for work.
