Singing the blues

Isabel Marant, Givenchy, Balenciaga in blue

I may love white after Labor Day, and I will always be a devotee of grey, but navy, usually a spring/summer neutral, looks fresh right now.  Any medium to midnight shade of blue will do.

Shearling, bomber, Antigona duffel, skirt, booties, sweater, Pandora bag, sneakers.

  • I agree, navy is the new black or grey. Reese Witherspoon has been wearing a navyrockstud flats and carrying slate/ink celine bag recently and it looks really crisp.

  • I love Navy everywhere. I have been eyeing a navy Iro leather jacket. I do love that navy bomber as well.

  • Was so overjoyed to see today’s post!..I have always worn navy like many wear black …recently purchased an Hermes Evelyn in blue abysse (dark navy but definitely looks blue) but was feeling like I SHOULD get black…big purchase for me….love to hear any input! Should I keep the navy or exchange for black????? Like Preston, I love my basics…white, grey, navy, tan and black…

  • Just curious. If you wear a navy skirt or dress what do you wear on your legs ? Black tights ? I am curious because these skirts are always photographed with bare legs and I always wonder how you ladies in the northern hemisphere keep your legs warm in winter. It doesn’t get that cold in Sydney so sometimes we can get away with just fake tan and a bolt from the car to the event.

  • I don’t often wear tights, but I would wear black with a navy dress or skirt.
