My Music

Cool Collabs

This is not about Isabel Marant and H&M, or a designer line with Target, ironically, those collaborations don’t excite me. This is about music. I am a die-hard alternative music fan– my 13 year old sings along with me to The Killers, Lorde, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Foo Fighters, NiN, Black Keys, Arcade Fire, etc. en route to school drop off. Alt Nation on Sirius is my station of choice.

So what are my new favorite collaborations? Atoms for Peace, with Radiohead lead singer Thom Yorke and Flea from The Red Hot Chili Peppers, this is a dream team. And I cannot wait to hear the “High Rise” EP from The Stone Temple Pilots with Chester Bennington of Linkin Park fronting.

  • Well, knock me over with a feather, I never would have figured you for an Alt Nation listener. Myself, I am predominantly XM-U, unless I’m not liking Blog Radio that day and then I switch to Alt.
My daughters always cringed when I sang along with Interpol when they were young as it didn’t compute with their image of all the other moms, but now they know better.
