I’m ready for Resort

Now that I’ve filled in most of the gaps in my winter wardrobe, I’m excited to pick up a few “deals” at the upcoming sales, and then move on.

On to resort that is. There were so many great collections and covetable pieces, especially from Louis Vuitton above, this may be one of many posts on the season’s offerings. You are forewarned…

  • I live in North Florida so resort is my season – bring it on!

  • I’m curious about what people think of the rather lackluster hair. Very 70s, but I don’t associate the 70s as a particularly good hair era, personally. When I wore my hair long it looked like this a lot, but I wasn’t in a photo shoot. Its natural, which I guess is a plus, but so unfinished and blah. Who would bother putting on this outfit and not bother at least tying her hair back or trimming the ends a bit? Maybe the contrast is part of the overall effect, but I don’t get it. Is there a method to the madness??

  • Love the outfit! I spend a lot of time in warm climates in the winter so I am happy to see resort wear. Although I am usually fairly casual in my life. It’s still fun to see what is out there!!
And I love her hair. It has a lot of body and I think it suits her.

  • Some of my favorite things over the years have been from resort collections, so I’m delighted to see it featured.

  • She looks like she’s wearing an obese person’s sweatshirt made out of discolored damask and a skirt her younger sister outgrew. What am I missing? Give me some tailoring please.

  • I’m ready for resort too and loved the Louis Vuitton collection, just not this outfit. Some of the denim silhouettes are very directional…and as you’ve posted before…we will all want those amazing clogs! I also think her hair is beautiful and prefer a natural look like this to a perfect blow out. Feels very Californian.
