Last week a reader commented that the Valentino necklace in my denim skirt post looked like a zodiac symbol. This got me thinking about the number of items I’ve seen recently that are adorned with a sun sign, and whether I’m game to go there.

According to Susan Miller of Astrology Zone, and pretty much my forecast guru, I am firmly a Taurus. I recognize both the good and the not so good (stubborn, materialistic) attributes in myself. But will I wear my sign on my sleeve (or feet, around my neck, or tucked under my arm)? Doubtful.

  • I completely agree with not wearing it esp since I am a quintessential Taurus as well and don’t love the look of the sign.
    Minus the stubbornness and materialistic nature that we have to deal with, we are pretty good, honorable, honest and loyal.
    To be honest, I don’t even like monograms or logos.

  • I think it is funny, in a good way, that all the Taurus who wrote don’t like the look of their sign. Just imagine how we Virgos feel. The perennial virgin. Usually skinny. I love the Bull as a symbol. But I agree I wouldn’t wear my sign. I might wear a beautiful greek or roman god symbol. The Valentino necklace looks beautiful, like something you could wear with a simple cashmere crew sweater and tailored trousers.
    Speaking about logos I bought my first Louis V purse 40 years ago in Paris. 38 years ago I used another Louis V purse as diaper bag for my first daughter. And always carried a Louis V purse for all these years. However about 3 years ago these daughters forbade me to wear any logos, any time, any place. It is harder to find great looking things that are not easy to identify. But Celine comes close.

  • While I love everything zodiac-related, as a Taurus I have to admit I have never been too fond of the symbol either. It’s a little aggressive (much like our proverbial bull in a china shop manner). However, I do like the more discreet constellation styles and the compact makes a nice gift!

  • If you don’t like your Greek zodiac sign, you can always check out where you fall on the Chinese zodiac! Unfortunately for me, I am both a Virgo and a Rat 🙁

  • I love being a virgo and I have the Estee Lauder virgo compact. I adore it. It’s tiny and practical and feels lovely in the hand. And I like that it feels a bit personal. (Also love Susan Miller/Astrologyzone a little too much…)
