Headliner

I’ve always been a headband fan and rejoiced when Marc showed them in his FW14 collection last week. This story, from the March issue of Vogue featuring Lara Stone and British actor Kit Haringtonconfirms the trend. And I spy Rochas mules in the second pic…

  • Isn’t that a beautiful look? So Julie Christie!
I must tell you that I have recommended your blog to so many people I have lost count. A friend, who is a personal shopper at Holt Renfrew (the upscale department store in Canada), relies on your blog to track the trends.
    Keep up the great work!

  • At what age do you think a headband is appropriate until? Do you think CBK would wear one if she were alive today?

  • I can think of many stylish woman who wore headbands, including Grace Kelly, Julie Christie, Audrey Hepburn, Cybil Shepard, Princess Caroline of Monaco, and who could forget Ali MacGraw? Perhaps wider and softer bands as women age rather than the skinny ones made from hard materials (i.e., thin tortoise, which is very Jcrew, cute & collegiate). A very 60’s feel–and, unlike a lot of fashion trends, it serves an actual purpose!

  • I agree, I tagged this story as well for this reason. I see that Eugenia Kim makes the one Lara Stone is wearing. Such a beautiful Bardot look. xx
