A Muff?

Untitled-03022014-3

In the first three looks of the FW14 Balenciaga show the coats have “leather-knitted pouch pockets” (according to Vogue) that look like muffs. Then, there were some beautiful fur muffs in Céline this morning. As a mother who still reaches for my daughter’s hand when we cross busy city streets, I’m not sure this would be a practical purchase. It reminds me of the matching mink hat and muff I had as a child. Years later, I turned the muff into a fur scarf which I wear to this day. I need to give this trend some thought.

  • I love muffs! Have forgotten all about them, but I used one for years as a little girl in Europe. The ivory one is gorgeous.

  • I have been longing for a comeback of my favorite childhood accessory. I always felt a little self-satisfied in my mink handwarmer.
