Synchronicity
I’m in L.A. and my friend Mark D. Sikes is in Punta Cana, bad timing. He ran the beautiful vintage pic above in a post before he left. Yesterday, while reading the WSJ by the pool at the W Westwood, I came across Meenal Mistry’s article on her love of long, white lace dresses, and had a synchronistic moment. Paired with my own straw market basket and K. Jacques sandals, I would live in a white maxi dress, and it now tops my summer list.

p- next time i come to punta cana you are coming with- heaven!!! the perfect place for a long flowing white dress. sandals and a straw tote…. just “keeping it chic!” missing you!!!
I was inspired by the same article yesterday. I am SO happy to see longer dresses coming back, and in white = timeless elegance.
Recently had the pleasure of visiting America’s own slice of paradise, Kauai. Kauai’s soft breeze and technicolor water, sky, and plant life calls for flowy skirts and dresses and a great hat. I adore white because of the uncluttered look of it. After seasons of busy, dizzy prints, I embrace the calm of white.
I love this style, but I have trouble finding dresses that flow but still fit and aren’t completely enormous!
What a beautiful dress…….
Love long, white and flowy in the summer! Even better with lace.
Great minds think alike!! I was in Troncones Mexico for a party this weekend wearing cotton white dresses in a variety of lengths. (Favourite is from Heidi Klein). I also brought kJaques and St tropez in different styles. Paired with an orange straw bag in the day and a canvas clutch in the evening for beach parties and suppers. The vibe here is chic with a bohemian slant.
I am always inspired by KIC, the WSJ and Mark Sikes.
Keep it coming !
Emma
