I am in Lakeville, Connecticut with my older daughter. She spent her first three years of high school here at Hotchkiss before deciding to do her senior year at Andover. She is visiting friends before they all graduate. When we get up to Andover later today, we are going to clean out her dorm room of winter gear and stuff she can live without this last month of school. Then, I will drive back to New York tonight.
My younger daughter made this card for me before I left. It’s a pear, my favorite fruit. She and my husband learned about beekeeping yesterday and we now have a hive and colony courtesy of our dear friends.
My mother is already on Martha’s Vineyard for the season. Her sketch classes are in full swing and she takes long walks until it’s warm enough to swim. And I hear she walked in a fashion show yesterday. My daughters and I are counting the days until we can visit her this summer.
