Hostess Gift

Cire Trudon

I don’t usually give candles as a hostess gift in the summer, but this new scent, Positano, by Cire Trudon sounds perfect for a warm weather present. The white glass is beautiful too.

  • Speaking of home fragrances, let me backtrack: I want to purchase some Diptyque scented ovals as a hostess gift and remembered your post. I’m over whelmed with the many fragrant options. Have you used these? Can you recommend a specific fragrance?
    Thanks! Love your blog!

  • Positano is amazing for two reasons – the scent is delicious and the white glass looks amazing in my white rooms – I got two ! Love Cire Trudon x

  • Stick to your original instincts–no candles as hostess gifts! It really says “I didn’t know what to gift you…”

  • I have used Diptyque forever and have several favorites: for Spring, Violette; for summer, Tuberose and Bais (Basil). Pomander is classic Christmas and the only fragrance I burn from after Thanksgiving through the New Year. It IS Christmas! All of their evergreen scents are gorgeous, especially Cypress, and I burn them year round but especially during the cold of winter. Fig is reliable for any season and any room. These candles burn slowly, evenly, the fragrances are all natural, and Diptyque is worth the price. My spelling of names may be inaccurate.

  • What is your typical hostess gift? Am in need of new ideas! I have given too many candles and bottles of wine.
