Go Solo

Statement earrings are big this season (in size and popularity), and this time around, they go solo. The one above by Céline, and below by Louis Vuitton, are the current editorial darlings. This gorgeous story from CR Fashion Book makes me consider the trend.

  • I was so distracted by the beauty of the model, didn’t pay attention to the earring. She is so gorgeaous!

  • A statement necklace is always my go to piece but heavy earrings most certainly take second place! I love this CR editorial! http://madelienerose.com/

  • I like this look when I’ve seen it in the magazines, but then wonder how it would translate to real life.

  • She’s very beautiful, with an intense quality and a look that reminds me of Frida Kahlo. I think the one statement earring works on her so well, but think it would be a difficult look to pull off IRL.

  • My daughter, who lives in San Francisco, has worn this look for about a year. Very trendy on the very young. Other age groups run the danger of trying too hard.

  • As a teenager – I started out with only one ear pierced so always wore one! – I like this look.
