Jane Larkworthy is one of those six-degrees-of-separation classic New York stories. Despite being in the same business for ages– and, most likely, brushing past each other backstage at countless fashion shows, we had never officially met. That said, when she greeted me at her office, she laughed, “Oh, I totally know who you are!” and I felt the same. And within five minutes of this shoot, we realized we had a lot in common (friends, kids in college, past bosses, hair colorists)–so it was nice to finally meet the incredibly smart and funny W magazine beauty director–albeit 20 years too late.
