  • Tomas Maier’s interview in the New Yorker some months (maybe a year) ago was really the beginning of my own love story with him – the subtitle read “just have less”. Exactly. The article is so compelling, so brilliant, so exactly the way I wish everyone thought – I have scanned into my computer a reminder that there is sanity in the world! The collection is brilliant – this one of my favorites in neutrals – and makes me think of my other “just have less” heroes – Calvin and Kelly Klein, John Pawson (whom Calvin selected to build his Madison flagship). I have not had the privilege to meet Mr. Maier, but think of his quotes from the NYer piece often – it makes me smile with delight and agreement!

  • Deeply in love with that black and white dress, as well as the rest, but the dress is perfect for LA.

  • Agreed. Very wearable clothes–not throwbacks to a different era, just here-and-now modern.

  • Yes, beautiful, practical, discrete, but with personality! I wouldn’t mind to have all this collection in my wardrobe.

    AnaSeptember 20th, 2014  3:56 PM

  • Just beautiful–any woman, any age could slip these on and power wear. And then there are those fabulous handbags . . . sighing!

  • Me too! Love all the short belted jackets!

  • There was an article years back where he said something along the lines of – I prefer to have very little, but it has to be exactly the right thing – a powerful insight that has helped me edit not just my wardrobe, but my life.
