Still Going Strong

I’ve been chatting with my sister about another trip to London early next summer. Surprisingly, it’s already been a year since the last visit. One of my most vivid memories of that trip is I came home and had a full-blown wardrobe breakdown and posted In A Rut bemoaning my lack of anything to wear. I rectified the problem with just a few items and one of my favorite purchases was this pair of Jimmy Choo booties in calf—I wear them so often, I just ordered another in suede.

  • In a Rut was once of my favorite postings from last year. I felt your pain. I purchased two items that you recommended from that post. I bought the Jimmy Choo booties and AG Stilt Denim. So happy with both. Thank you for helping me feel pulled together Preston!

  • I love those boots, they’re classic and wearable. I think I’m probably older than your average reader, but I finally have learned to buy for my real life, and don’t have wardrobe crises nearly like I used to. And if something works well, like you, I’ll buy it in another color or whatever. Wish those boots came in brown or burgundy, I already have too many black boots – maybe at the Jimmy Choo store?

  • Would you mind posting your favorite things to wear with these booties. I bought them and would love to see how you wear them.

  • Thanks for the link P – burgundy totally sold out, and the brown is also in my size. I’ll keep checking for returns. I think the black suede is the most beautiful though.

  • How do you wear these boots? Pants for sure, but do they work with a dress?

  • I do have the suede pair and love them. I could really use some sleek booties that can be worn in rainy weather. Any thoughts on that?

  • Preston, I bought the calf version of these boots last year after reading your post and I loooovvve them. Buttery-y soft and so comfortable to walk in, they were a great investment. I was in N-M yesterday and saw that the suede version is back after selling out last year and almost squealed.
