This & That

Loewe

A few images that have inspired me lately–

The Loewe FW14 campaign has rerun a number of Steven Meisel photographs from a 1997 Vogue Italia story starring Kirsten Owen and Amber Valetta. The images are based on some of my favorite Alex Katz paintings.

Gstaad is on my mind these days and I’ve been looking at vintage posters of the perfect Swiss village.

There is a review of the new album titled ‘Ruins’ by singer-songwriter Liz Harris (picture middle right) aka Grouper inThe New York Times today. The tracks are hauntingly beautiful.

The bottom left image is from a story photographed by Ben Weller in the current WSJ. Magazine. The “elegantly bohemian” Saint Laurent dress with it’s mix of patterns is super chic.

And last but not least, the eyeliner on Caroline Winberg in the Wolford ads shot by Mario Testino is so well done.

  • Great images! That bottom right pic is a dead ringer for Patti Hansen.
