On The Hunt For

Just Like These

This is the style of ankle boot that I am looking for–perfect for running around. Although late in the season, I may still find them. It’s frustrating that when we need certain items, they are usually long gone.

  • These are WONDERFUL! I am not usually a black leather bootie fan – for some reason I like the texture of suede or I have the Penelope Chilvers velvet Cubana style “that’s not my age” mentioned, but I would buy these!!! Let’s find them!!!

  • I agree – these would be a nice pair to have in rotation.

These are shorter than most I’ve seen (I’ve looking for a shorter pair). Let me know if you find them!

  • That look is basically perfect : simple and chic. The black and navy, the leather pants, the pointy boots, I love that pic (and, yes, I think you should definitely invest in a pair like these ones !)

  • Try Frano Sarto. His are super comfy and good looking. I have them in both black and camel.

  • Rupert Sanderson’s “Honeycup” and “Brownie” styles come in suede and leather and have a 60mm heel. They look very chic and wearable.

  • Looks like the Phillip lim to me.. Jcrew and Zara did a knock off. They have zips on both inside and outer side of ankle and come in shearing lined. http://www.fwrd.com/fw/mobile/DisplayProduct.jsp?&&source=google&mkwid=aL0pg2jl_dm%7cpcrid%7c50654362474%7c&adgroups=%7badwords_groups%7d&adlabel=%7badwords_labels%7d&pdv=m&sourcetracking=google-pla&cvosrc=cse.google.83322907354&cvo_crid=50654362474&gclid=CJyzhpy63MICFSRo7Aod6BYA_g&aliasURL=product-31-phillip-lim-alexa-cow-sheepskin-leather-boots-in-black/31PH-WZ31&site=f&product=31PH-WZ31

  • They look very much like a St. Laurent pair that I bought last spring when I was in NY. I returned them because I thought it was too early to decide on winter boots. Have not been able to find the perfect pair for everyday since then. Lesson learned.

  • Last winter I got some black ankle boots from Robert Clergerie at Bergdorfs. They also have their own shop on 62nd St. between Fifth and Madisin. I have loved them. They are very similar but have no zipper. Makes them feel a little dressier.
    Merry Christmas!

  • I just went hunting for theses.
Vince did a great copy, around $450 but some stores have them on sale.
I found on zappos of all places!
Saint Laurent is great too, but no sizes for me anywhere.

    Good Hunting and Happy Holidays!

  • I have the Phillip Lim Alexa boots-
black, shearling lined w silver double zips- LOVE!! Have worn them more days than not since the Fall! 😉

  • Agree with LBS on the Robert Clergerie’s. The Million style is almost spot on to what you have in the picture. I have another pair of boots by him from several years ago and are always super comfortable.

  • Oh these are fab. You’ve convinced me – I need a low-heeled black boot!

  • I’ve never tried Zara’s shoes but I’m tempted by these.

  • My friend just got the Rag & Bone Aston which are so cute http://shop.nordstrom.com/s/rag-bone-aston-bootie/3759200 but maybe too low a heel for you

  • The one’s in the photo are a dead ringer for the SW’s I bought in the Fall. I initially thought I had made a mistake but they saved me in New Orleans in rainy weather and on several other occasions. Refined enough to go out for dinner but perfectly chic for day. The walkable heel and the fact they are utterly without embellishment makes them perfect for travel when you need flexibility or any other time for that matter. I must check what the style is called, they are not the Modesto.

  • Ok, I think mine are the “Zephyr”.

    MiaDecember 25th, 2014  7:58 PM

  • Try Gravati at Neiman Marcus. I bought a pair in black and rich chestnut brown last year. Love them! Beautiful leather, perfect heel height, leather sole but with non slip part right at the ball of your foot! Perfect for lots of walking but look very chic!

  • Prada has a cute low block-heel pair: http://www.barneys.com/on/demandware.store/Sites-BNY-Site/default/Product-Show?pid=503542017&cgid=womens-shoes&index=20
