Gucci SS/15 Campaign

’70s Redux

Gucci

Malgosia Bela looks beautiful in the Gucci SS15 campaign photographed by Mert & Marcus. The ’70s-inspired suede coat, flared jeans, and retro bag above are fun. Like everyone, I’m curious to find out which designer is going to Gucci—my fingers are crossed that Hedi Slimane stays put at Saint Laurent, I really love what he’s doing there.

  • Ahhh I love what Hedi’s doing at Saint Laurent too, but would be interesting to see him work his magic at Gucci!

  • The first look is so much Seventies but the most beautiful. It reminds me Jackie O coats

  • I don’t follow these things too closely, but Gucci has been so fabulous the past few years. Has their design team broken up? Both of them or one of them? I can’t imagine anyone improving on this!! They returned Gucci to their sporting roots, which was genius and gorgeous.

  • If or the past couple years, I love how the Gucci brand has evolved. It’s sad to see the designer change just as she was ‘finding her groove’. The musical chairs in the fashion industry recently has meant we don’t get to see designers evolve. Very short term and sad.

  • MMS makes an excellent point. It’s turning into musical chairs. Gucci had an identity–a real signature. Throwing in someone new to ‘see what they can do’ seems to benefit the designer more than the brand. This sounds like a huge loss to me.
