Modern Love

Vogue

Location, location, location—I love Elizabeth and David Netto’s mid-century Richard Neutra home in Los Angeles where Mario Testino shot Vogue‘s February cover story on Dakota Johnson. Very chic, indeed. Johnson is the star of the film adaptation of Fifty Shades of Grey—the house could be called fifty shades of beige.

  • Are you familiar with Julius Shulman’s photographs? I think you would like Neutra: Complete Works.

  • I have been seeing this shoot all over the fashion and design blogs I follow today. Simply fabulous space! I went to Neutra.org… very interesting that there are several grass roots efforts to save several Neutra structures facing demolition or compromise. Saddest is a Pebble Beach home, where the owner is awaiting a National Registry review period to expire so she can demolish the structure and build a new home.
