The Headband

The headbands in the Chanel show are right up my alley—chic and easy.

  • Wasn’t it a fabulous show? Very Gabrielle. And Valentino – so beautiful! And then of course the Zoolander finale lol! Nice touch for all those frazzled journalists and I’m sure it cheered them all up. A great day for PFW – just such a shame there has been that terrible accident in Argentina. France is not having a good time.

  • It would be hard to imagine anything more chic than what is shown in the second photo! Hair bands, like pony tails, give everything a girlish charm–a cool juxtaposition to the overall silhouette.

  • I love a good headband, but is there an age limit on such an accessory? Maybe it’s terribly conservative, but now that I’m in my mid-30s, I find myself reluctant to don one in public. 🙁

  • Uh oh, I’m in my 50’s and love a black headband!

  • Headbands are ageless, it’s how you wear them.

  • I love them so much ! Especially with a rock look, or with the all black look, very Brigitte Bardot !

  • Just wanted to say that I absolutely love today’s post (all of them).
I love the Chanel shoes, the dress, the head band, the lettuce dishes, the pants (and the pullover that goes with it) and the Seward look.
    Everything looks polished and “clean”.

  • I agree, with headbands its all in how it is worn. It is a young look, but for casual wear its ageless. I have seen them worn with short hair, and that can look very cool. I think its when someone adopts the headband as a constant everyday look that it gets a bit “over the hill” ingénue.

  • Well, the comments have convinced me. I will have to don an old Miu Miu headband (black, wide) I have been storing to work tomorrow.

  • Love the whole look. I’m 62, and still wear headbands on occasion. No age limit, classic.
