Over The Shoulder

Hermes Evelyne

Honestly, I don’t think I’ve ever seen the Hermès Evelyne worn over the shoulder, just crossbody. It looks great.

  • I wear mine over the shoulder when I need to take it off frequently (when I am shopping for example).

  • The Evelyne is one of my favorite bags, but frankly I had not considered shortening the strap to carry it as a shoulder bag as I, too, always wear it as a crossbody. Thanks for the suggestion, Preston – I’m going to make the adjustment today and give it a try!

  • I’m going to shorten the strap and give mine a try that way as well. I wish mine was that cognac color, instead of the espresso brown I got years ago.

  • Alas, mine is quite an older version (Evelyne 1) and the strap cannot be shortened… Looks great though!

  • Love everything about this image! Thank you.

  • Love this way ! I had never seen it like that either, but maybe it’s also because the outfit is great, and the details go perfectly with the Evelyne ?

  • This is funny, because I have only worn mine on my shoulder and rarely cross body at all; but I bought it early on, and cross body wasn’t nearly so common. it’s impossible to go wrong with this bag, including all colors. The espresso (mine also) is a bit more refined and it is gorgeous with grey, navy, black, camel, and denim.

  • Love this shoulder strap. The strap that comes with the bag doesn’t shorten enough to be shoulder length. Dropped into Hermes in Greenwich today and they don’t sell a short one like in this photo. Any thoughts on how to get one? Thanks.
