  • Those shoes!!! I could never afford them but I hope for lots of less expensive copies! Hopefully this means we’ll all be wearing block heels for some years as they’re so much more comfortable. I would be interested in you and your readers’ take on why Lagerfeld put all his models in the same shoes? It did make the show look more cohesive but I would have thought commercially, he would have been under pressure to show a variety.

  • My eyes went right to those cap toe Chanel slingbacks too! Very Nice.

    LilyMarch 17th, 2015  1:14 PM

  • Love both. Great items for wish list and will look forward to seeing the pumps in your shop.

  • I loved those shoes, too! Did you see the great Little Augury review of the show and her suggestion that maturer models would really have made those clothes sing?

    amandaMarch 17th, 2015  6:39 PM

  • I also read the Augury post and he was spot on! He nailed it! The clothes are among the most fabulous the House has seen in years. Nothing gimmicky or trendy! They are gorgeous, sophisticated silhouettes, which calls for a more mature demographic–women that have some meaningful life experience. His suggestions for particular looks on particular women were also perfect. What a keen viewpoint he had. Very smart.

  • Everything is perfect as always. The slingbacks would be perfect with boyfriend jeans, and the dress is an absolute dream. Love your classic yet so interesting taste !

  • Am I the only one that doesn’t really like the shoes? Just because they’re Chanel doesn’t mean they’re nice nor flattering. The heel isn’t modern or flattering at all. If you’ve got thin ankles, maybe they’ll work, but imagine someone with not so nice ankles?? Don’t get me wrong, the shoe is lovely, from the front to the sling back, but the heel, in my opinion makes the shoe look like its fit for my granny, (which isn’t a bad thing) I would have rather seen the heel more of a kitten heel. Just saying!

    AngeMarch 18th, 2015  8:37 AM

  • I agree with Ange about the shoes. They would look great on my daughter and age me by at least a decade. But that’s true of lots of classic fashion, isn’t it?

    SusanMarch 18th, 2015  9:20 AM

  • This is so sharp!

    CathyMarch 18th, 2015  1:30 PM

  • Perfect spring pumps.

    AnaMarch 18th, 2015  4:12 PM

  • I loved those shoes, and this Chanel collection was definately one if his best in a long time.To the previous reader, I don’t think the shoes will age you. It’s all what you wear them with!!
