Hair (On The) Brain

I’ve had hair, and more specifically hair products, on my mind recently. One of my favorite mini outings is a trip to the pharmacy – not a big-box drugstore, but my local, somewhat old fashioned, apothecary-like, pharmacy. It carries the basics, and stocks a ton of high-end and European brands as well. When I feel like splurging (but not spending a fortune) I hit the pharmacy for a quick fix.

  • Thanks to Into The Gloss, I have been loyal to Phylia (de M.) for a few years. I have to order it online, but it’s so worth it! My hair’s in great shape and the color holds from one appt. to the next. I use the Clean, the Condition and because I’ve had issues with hair loss, the Connect (that’s expensive, but lasts forever).

  • I’ve been using Rahua volumizing shampoo and conditioner for about a year now. I love it. I don’t use other products in my hair except for an occasional hair mask to remoisturize after a lot of swimming.

  • Preston I’ve been waiting for the Bumble & Bumble ‘Don’t Blow It’ product to arrive in Australia ever since you recommended it several weeks ago. Should be here soon! I really like Aveda’s Hair Thickening Tonic (could be Lotion?) and find this is always nice to spray on my roots/part line. I don’t need to blow it dry which is a must for me as I never/can’t blow dry (hence my interest in your recommendation!) I also like Paul Mitchell’s Awapuhi Wild ginger sea salt spray. Smells great and gives nice volume and pieceyness to my long andstraight hair.
