SS16 Collection

Erdem

Just as I was about to put together a collage of my favorite dresses from Erdem’s phenomenally beautiful SS16 collection, up popped this pic on Meenal Mistry’s Instagram feed. My work is done—thanks, Meenal!

  • Such a brilliant collection, so very ‘Erdem’, but better than everything he’s done in years !

  • They are very, very beautiful, but how to wear in real life?

  • Amazing how trends have gone from plunging cleavage and navel-baring low slung jeans to Victorian dresses with high necklines and long hems. The fabrics are gorgeous; one might wear this to a Downton Abbey party next January! : )) I far prefer this to the heavily provocative styles of the past decade(s). Very feminine!

  • Agree. These are beautiful but I can’t see myself ever wearing them. And honestly, for ornate but unwearable pieces you just have to go look at any Indian fashion week. The craftsmanship is out of this world, but are these kinds of clothes for a modern woman? I’d say no.
