Shopping My Closet

An “Aha” Moment

Remember the Balenciaga dress I bought last spring and have yet to wear? It’s been at the back of my closet and I’ve felt a wee bit guilty for purchasing it– it looks too mumsy on me as a straight up shift. After I posted the Vogue Italia pics this morning I pulled it out and styled it with with a boy’s shirt, and voila, this is very me.

  • It looks fabulous! Love the way it changed and shook up the whole look, and the Gucci pumps are perfection with it!

  • Love it, especially with those loafers! I think the dress would look great with a turtleneck too.

  • Yep, a turtleneck and a haircut would be good, too.

  • Looks great this way! I would usually be against a shirt under a shoft, but this looks contemporary and terrific!

  • Great idea! As much as we love new things it is so satisfying to realize a new way to wear something we already have….especially if that something was a “problem” piece.

  • You look gorgeous in it ! Love the shirt underneath, and the beautiful Gucci shoes !
