Pre-Fall 2016

Veronique Branquinho

These long, lean, blouse and skirt silhouettes from Veronique Branquinho’s Pre-Fall collection caught my eye. Although beautiful, I have absolutely no idea where I would wear them—roaming the moors, perhaps.

  • Channeling Morticia? I normally love gloves, but in this look, she appears set to commit a crime.

  • I like these long lean looks for entertaining at home or the home of dear friends; like a more refined kaftan idea, unfussy, but with a little effort and ultimately very comfortable.

  • The looks are quite Victorian, but if the skirt length was mid- calf or higher, these would be quite wearable.

  • Well, these silhouettes are so dramatic and beautiful, and the long gloves are the cherry on the cake. But I agree, it would be hard to find a place to wear them…
