Brilliant In Burgundy

Vanity Fair France’s Virginie Mouzat asked Gucci designer Alessandro Michele to make her horsebit slides in burgundy. Hopefully, Gucci will produce them for the stores, too—they are brilliant.

*I have a black pair arriving any minute, TBC.

  • I’m a (young) lawyer– think these would work for the office? I already have the jordaan (closed heel version) in black.

  • Adore. I have a burgundy pair of loafers from Everlane, but I need some slides and those are perfect.

  • I don’t usually pick burgundy for shoes for some unknown reason, but I do love these. Maria, as a fellow attorney I would say if you are tall enough to wear flats without sacrificing authority, these shoes would be fine in business settings. At 5’2″ I wouldn’t wear them in business settings only due to my lack of height.
