The Cape

The cape was big 5 years ago, then faded away, came back, and went away again. Alexa Chung looks great in this one by Burberry (en route to the FW16 show), and I saw a fab teal one (see post above) in the Gucci lineup.

Both capes Burberry below.

  • Love this look and makes me want to shorten my cape from a few years ago.

  • I have a gorgeous cape I bought from Lela Rose years ago! Unfortunately I wore it so much over the coarse of two pregnancies that I find it hard to put back on. I love this one though, very chic!

  • Too many capes were overly dramatic, and the wearer appears to blow in the door, drowning in fabric. This one is perfect–crisp, modern shape, and the perfect length for skirts, slacks, or jeans! This cape is not at all clumsy. I would wear it for casual, professional, as well as late day/evening. Love it!
