HRH The Duchess Of Cambridge

Congratulations to British Vogue for getting HRH The Duchess of Cambridge on the cover of their centenary issue. The first magazine shoot she has ever consented to, the Duchess looks relaxed and beautiful in Josh Olins’ wonderful pictures.

  • HRH The Duchess of Cambridge is a fresh faced beauty and a breath of fresh air in terms of her personal style. She seems very authentic, and it comes through in her relaxed and poised public personna.

  • . . . the fact that she waited this long before doing a cover shoot for a major fashion magazine is impressive and shows such good judgment on her part.

  • So relaxed and beautiful…also less eye makeup which I think looks great.

  • Whilst the initial coup of having a royal front the cover of vogue is exciting and the backdrop and laid-back shoot is a great concept- Vogue should be celebrating independent empowered women of substance, high intelligence and strong work ethic- not merely a figurehead who hasn’t achieved much professionally.

  • It seems this intelligent woman of substance is on the go for charitable causes 24-7. That is work. Independence is not always measured in wealth and marital status.

  • I agree.

  • I am always underwhelmed by her wardrobe choices. I find her to be quite predictable and boring. But I also think that the photos from this spread really reflect who she is and the image she really wants to project. Fresh, natural, unpretentious. It would be strange to see her in some sort of avante guard fashion shoot because she is not fashion forward at all. If anything, she is fashion backward. But I applaud the magazine shoot as showing her beautifully as who she is. And she is a hard worker and a seemingly terrific mom so I think she’s acomplished a lot !
