SS17 Collection

Vetements

Vetements showed the SS17 combined women’s and men’s RTW collection during Couture Week in Paris yesterday. Despite the surprising collaborations with other brands incorporated into the collection (Manolo Blahnik satin waders, Levi’s, Comme des Garcons, Juicy Couture velour, Canada Goose, and Schott just to name a few), my favorite silouhette is a ’70s jersey or chiffon dress by Vetements designer Demna Gvasalia, himself. With a slip underneath, it would be lovely .

  • Sorry, but I think this collection is just really unattractive and unflattering.

  • I don’t know how wearable any of it is, but I enjoy the look. Sculptural, interesting color combinations….clothing as art.

  • I really don’t understand the fuss over Vetements. To me, their. clothes seem to be trying too hard to be different and seems contrived and unattractive.
