FW16 Campaign

Balenciaga creative director Demna Gvasalia’s first campaign for the house was photographed by Mark Borthwick on the streets of Paris. I’m sure we’ll see many pieces from this collection on SS17 showgoers.

  • Since you are one of my favorite style blogs, I would love to hear about your new fresh logo design. I loved the old one and while I like this one too, it was a little bit jarring to see the change suddenly.

  • Hi Karen-
In a nutshell, a redesign was long overdue. Six and a half years with the same logo and I was more than ready to switch it up. The old one was great when KiC launched. Once very personal to my site, the script font is now widely used, which is partly why I wanted a fresh look. To me, the new logo is bold, happy, and a wee bit French. I was inspired by all the indy magazines that I love so much.

Thank you for your kind words about KiC, and thank you for noticing the new logo.

Also, I’m launching another site that is very classic and old-school traditional… TBC

  • Love the freshening up (eek is that a word?) but honestly, the trust you’ve built with us through the years means we’re always happy to continue along. ❤️
    P. S. I’m still a hold out on the whole Gvasalia thing…..

  • Simple and to the point – like your blog! I only have a few blogs I check on a daily basis, and yours never fails to inform and generate thought and opinion on style and fashion in a professional manner. I appreciate your efforts in delivering a quality place for me to get my daily fashion fix!

  • Er…. new site? Exciting! I’m liking the new logo, it reminds me of something but I cant put my finger on it. I love this campaign, really like Mark Borthwick’s photography. Even the stirrup pants look appealing !
