Tablescape Inspired

A pretty tablescape from a NYFW dinner courtesy of Elisabeth von Thurn und Taxis’ Instagram feed. The personalized napkins are a nice touch.

  • Although I usually adore monograms, this may be gilding the lily. The floral napkins are lovely on their own, as are the plates. I think the monograms clutter the linens and come off looking like a stock number. This may be a case of one too many special touches?

  • They are beautiful. I’m assuming the monograms are to personalize it as a favor for guests to keep, in which case, it makes it even more special. Otherwise, I might agree about the monogram being more adornment than necessary.
