SS17 Collections

Paris Shopping List

For the first time in a long time, I have a considerable spring shopping list. Over the past few seasons I’ve picked up an item here and there, but for SS17, I already know the pieces that I want, especially from PFW.

Clockwise: I have a grey Miu Miu coat from a few years ago that is so good I’d grab it in a fire—this one in camel looks equally as good. I fully intend to become a Dior woman and have circled this look. This Isabel Marant grey, belted tunic will be a seasonless forever piece in my wardrobe. And the Louis Vuitton show was sensational, I will start with these boots and go from there.

  • Great pieces. Will have to start considering the spring collections for the following “winter” here. Never realized it before this.

  • The structured pieces in the SS17 collections really spoke to me. I love a good coat or jacket but find the offerings in the fall collections often too heavy for So Cal weather. Dior is on my inspiration board too. I loved the wearability of the pieces making them investment worthy classics. The pieces you selected are all really good!

  • The two coats above are beautiful and classic. I see a return to classicism that has been sorely needed for a long time, especially for Spring/Summer collections. French design, when done well, is hard to improve upon. I could see the tunic over a slim black pant or midi skirt (?) with a lovely shoe, loafer, or an ankle boot – timeless and grown up.

  • Great pics, Preston! You may recall from my previous whining that I really struggle with S/S wardrobe. These all look like great additions… I’m willing to make 2017 the year I finally get a solid S/S wardrobe in place!
