As a child, my family took turns hosting Thanksgiving dinner with my Connecticut cousins—it was a cacophonous event and I hated every minute. Ironically, I now love spending the holiday with extended family and this year we had planned to have dinner with my sister in Saratoga. But, the weather looked iffy for today so we cancelled. In the end, the storm didn’t come this far east and we could’ve gone. However, being home is good, too. My older daughter stayed in L.A., so it’s just the three of us. We’ll walk, see a movie, and eat dinner out—not a bad way to spend the day, actually.
Wishing everyone a very happy Thanksgiving!
