Navy Crazy

It started with a navy puffer– and then, like Alice tumbling into the rabbit hole, I bought a few navy sweaters, new jeans, a dark navy Tomas Maier skirt, a navy Atlantique Ascoli blouse, and these midnight-blue Joseph pants that are a nice weight and a good price. Paired with my Gucci pumps and AA blouses, this is my dressier run-around uniform. Currently, I’m really into wearing navy and black together à la YSL.

Marni top, Joseph pants, Gucci pumps and here.

  • Lovely! I live in navy and I’m sure you’ll get lots of wear out of all of these. My brother is getting married again and I have been looking for a suitable something to wear. I keep looking at prints and brights but deep in my heart I know I will buy something in navy. 🙂

  • These are my very favorite posts, Preston!
It is so helpful to know what you have bought and are wearing currently. Also, I just want to THANK YOU for your blog. I’m a 63 y.o. gal that loves hearing that I’m the best dressed gal at the farmer’s market–thanks to your help!

  • Love this post! Your dressier running around outfit has given me wardrobe envy. The thing about navy is that it is not always available (well not where I live) so when I see navy I tend to buy it.

  • Navy is so easy to wear – more relaxed then black. Together navy and black a perfect combination. Love the Marni top a good all season investment piece.

  • Love the combination of black and navy – so effortlessly chic. I’ve bought black for so many years but this year decided that navy was the way to go! Love the blouse in the post.

  • Wow….did this post hit a chord! Funny, I went navy crazy this year too! I also went down the slippery slope….I have bought 2 navy sweaters, a navy Moncler winter puffer with peplum, a denim blue velvet blazer, denim blue Aquazurra velvet booties, new jeans and navy suede boots, as well as navy velvet AG kick flares. I am really loving the blue instead of my usual black. Next, a purse. Love the Marni shirt…it is a stunner. I haven’t tried navy and black yet…you have all inspired me to do that this week.

  • Navy is my favourite colour. I’ve had to deliberately bring in other shades to break up my wardrobe! LOVE the navy-with-black combo. So chic. Bravo!

  • Just finished a Masters in fashion curation in which a strong emphasis was based on the superiority and inherent chicness of navy. I have more navy items in my wardrobe than is decent. I love it.
